These guys are seriously the best. Really good people who help you every step of the way. I rented a tux for a wedding in Guatemala and I got MANY compliments about my attire. I was told I was best dressed for the weekend and asked if my tux was “bespoke.”

The customer service, personal care, and quality can’t be matched. This is the spot in San Diego. Do not waste your time with the other guys. Seriously.

We had a few formal events in the past few weeks. The first was a black-tie event and the second was our wedding, which included two separate events.. We rented clothes from The Gentlemen's Tux Club for all of them and were SO happy that we did.

John is a hands-on owner who knows his stuff. We found three separate outfits that were perfect for each event and his team made sure everything fit perfectly.

When I was searching for the right place for our wedding clothes, there were so many options -- particularly the larger, national companies that seem like obvious choices. But I am so happy that we went with this local, San Diego company. We felt incredible and looked amazing thanks to John and Vanessa.

After the wedding, our travel plans changed unexpectedly and John was so accommodating about returning the rentals.

I can't recommend The Gentlemen's Tux Club more highly. I will absolutely use them again for any formal wear needs. I'm so happy to have found them!

Absolutely amazing tux rental experience! I came here for my wedding tux, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole process super easy. They helped me find the perfect fit—sharp, clean, and comfortable—exactly what I needed for the big day.

I’m 62 yrs. Old and had never dressed for a formal event in my life ! I started working for the Marine Corps in May . When I got the chance to attend the 250th birthday Marine Corps Ball ! I kind of intimidated because Most of the men would be in dress blues uniforms. I need to look sharp and feel confident standing next to them . The Gentleman’s Tux Shop made all my fear evaporated the moment I walked in the door ! From selecting the style and color to the final fitting, the owner John even help out ,Amazing ! I’ve never walked so tall or been so confident in the way I looked ! I danced the night away and had a ball (pun intended) Thank you Gentleman Tux Shop for a magical experience.

I wish there were more stars to give. I showed up in San Diego for a wedding this past weekend (Sat wedding) with nothing to wear. It was a black tie optional and renting/travelling was not an option. I walked into GTC on Wednesday and was immediately greeted by John and his team. John quickly got me situated with a great fitting tux, to which Tom made super quick and accurate alterations to sleeve lengths. We talked through styles, bow ties, color, etc. and in under an hour I was out of the shop with a tux in hand.

The tux looked great, and was one of the best fitting tuxes/suits I've ever had - including ones I've bought. People thought I was groomsman! On top of that, the price was less than what I would have paid for a poor fitting suit from Jim's or MW. John and his team made pickup and drop-off a breeze, even arranging to pick up my suit at the hotel so I didn't have to travel back across town on Sunday.

THIS is what tux renting should be. Forget the other guys. 10/10 - thank you John!
