I would give 10 stars if I could, just wonderful, exceptional experience for the biggest day of my life - my wedding - from start to finish. I recently had my wedding in San Diego (my wife and I are not local), and I both purchased my tux and rented 15 tuxes for my groomsmen and guests. Many of my groomsmen are based internationally, so having them get accurately measured was a challenge due to international differences in tailor norms/measuring standards, but the day before my wedding, Vanessa happily ensured that each of them were re-measured if needed and had a tux that fit wonderfully. I had been anxious about this process, but they put my mind at ease and then delivered 100%, and then some!
John and Vanessa are genuinely good humans who care about you and build a relationship, unlike essentially any other store (of any kind!) I have recently interacted with. They take the time to make sure that you are happy, that you understand different options, and they actually listen to your preferences and want you to feel 100% comfortable throughout the tux purchase/rental process.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I was nearly moved to tears by how they were able to last-minute help me select and then subsequently tailor a new white tux shirt for me after I discovered ~2 hours before my wedding that somehow my tux shirt I had purchased elsewhere had been badly stained. Vanessa fully understood the emergency, put me at ease, helped me find options for a great fitting shirt literally last-minute, and moved the button on the collar in 10 minutes because the fit was otherwise great, but the neck was slightly tight. Vanessa and John literally helped save my wedding!
I now understand why it felt like other customers who walked into the shop had known John/Vanessa for 5-10+ years and they were greeted like old friends. If I ever need a tux in San Diego, the Gentleman's Tux Club is the only place that I would personally trust. You're in good hands!
